Thyme This herb has antifungal properties. Try mixing 2 drops of thyme oil with 1 teas spoon of calendula ointment.

Garlic This herb can kill many microbes including the fungi that infect the skin. Mash a clove or blend garlic clove with 1 or 2 teaspoons of olive oil and apply the paste on the skin.

Grapefruit (Grape fruit seed extract- pulp and inner rind of grapefruit.) The extract fights several types of fungi including those that infect the skin. You may apply the liquid concentrate to the skin three times a day until the infection clears.

Aromatherapy – Apply lavender, myrrh, tea tree patchouli and geranium essential oils as they have anti fungal properties.

Cinnamon and clove- This spice is anti fungal. Studies show that these two herbs inhibit fungi that commonly infect the skin. Dab the diluted essential oil of either plant on the rash three times a day.

Geranium Essential oil - This flower oil is both antifungal and anti-inflammatory. Its anti inflammatory properties relieve itching.
